Upgrade to New Energy Efficient Windows and Doors
While it might sound contrary, spending a little extra on upgrading to new energy rated glass could save you some money in the long run. With better energy efficiency, your home will lose less heat - which means a lot less money spent on the heating bill! As part of your upgrade, you would get low-E softcoat glass, argon gas filled units, and warm edge spacer bars.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does double glazing mist up?
The air in between the two panes of glass expand when it's hot and contract when it's cold. This makes the glass flex. Over the years, the continuous flexing of the outer and inner pane of glass will cause it to break away from its primary and secondary seal. This allows cold air to get in between the glass. The desiccant inside the spacer bar, which draws moisture from the air inside the sealed unit, will eventually become saturated and fail. This then creates a permanent sign of misting, a cloudy condensation inside the window itself. In effect, your double-glazing will be reduced to single glazing. When that happens, just give me a call for a free estimate! There’s no need for costly replacement frames when I can just replace the panes for you at a fraction of the cost.
Should I replace all the seals on my window at once?
I always advise customers to replace the individual sealed units as they fail. Although one unit in the whole window has failed, it does NOT mean the other units in the same window will. They could last another few days or few years.
If my window or door is too damaged, can you replace it?
Absolutely! I provide window and door installation as well as repairs. If your unit is in need of replacement, we can discuss the costs together to make sure you get the best deal. I will however assess your windows or doors first to see if there’s a repair to fix the issue you’ve been having.
